Accreditation Information

After attending Heart Rhythm 2024 in person or online, the learner should be able to:

1. Identify and analyze the latest scientific advances and innovations in the field of heart rhythm disorders. 
2. Select appropriate, evidence-directed pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies to achieve optimal outcomes for patients with heart rhythm disorders. 
3. Describe and discuss how to operationalize a multidisciplinary approach to optimize the management of heart rhythm disorders including, but not limited to, the use of inter-professional teams, care coordination, patient engagement, and communication. 
4. Utilize quality improvement measures, methods, and tools to foster systems-based improvements in heart rhythm care, outcomes, and value. 
5. Assess the impact of regulatory and institutional policies, and societal and cultural norms, on safety, timeliness, equity (including diversity and inclusion), effectiveness, efficiency, patient-centered care, and value. 
6. Evaluate the latest technology, including wearables and consumer products, available in the field of heart rhythm disorders.  
7. Utilize shared decision-making resources in discussing monitoring and treatment of patients with heart rhythm disorders. 
8. Summarize and discuss strategies for incorporating digital health into the practice of electrophysiology including inpatient vs. outpatient settings, remote monitoring, and reimbursement management. 
9. Explain best practices for mapping and ablation of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and accessory pathways.  
10. Review the anatomy and physiology of the autonomic nervous system within the heart and describe the role of cardioneuroablation in electrophysiology. 
11. Describe and discuss the utilization of AI and digital health innovations for the identification and management of heart rhythm disorders, and for advancing basic and translational arrhythmia research.  
12. Review the role of the electrophysiologist in sports-related cardiology and management. 
13. Summarize the role of genetic testing and assessment of genetic risk factors in the management of patients with heart rhythm disorders. 
14. Apply systems-based process changes to improve care and outcomes for patients with heart rhythm disorders. 
15. Describe new advances in basic and translational arrhythmia research.

Accreditation Statement

The Heart Rhythm Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physicians AMA Designation Statement

The Heart Rhythm Society designates this internet-enduring activity for a maximum of 125 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM Maintenance of Certification Statement

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 125 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

ABP Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Statement

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity and individual assessment of and feedback to the learner, enables the learner to earn up to 125 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.

Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada MOC Recognition Statement

Through an agreement between the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, medical practitioners participating in the Royal College MOC Program may record completion of accredited activities registered under the ACCME’s “CME in Support of MOC” program in Section 3 of the Royal College’s MOC Program.
